OFIA member companies, live, work and play in Ontario’s forests. As a result of this close relationship to our forests, all member companies are committed to sustainable forest management.  All of OFIA’s members’ operations are certified to internationally recognized third-party certification systems and represent all forms of forest tenure in the province.

The OFIA’s member companies are committed to the three pillars of sustainability: environmental protection, social development and economic development. Sustainable development has been defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. To achieve this, companies must make these considerations in all aspects of their business and continually work to balance the three pillars.
